The Union Cabinet has officially approved the high-priority Phase-3 layout of Bengaluru Metro. Spanning across 44.6 kilometers, this phase consists of two primary corridors designed to connect remote regions with key arterial industrial areas.
Corridor Highlights
- Corridor 1: From JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) covering 32.1 km.
- Corridor 2: From Hosahalli to Kadabagere along Magadi Road spanning 12.5 km.
This major expansion is estimated to cost approximately ₹15,611 crore. Construction is expected to begin early next year and be completed by 2030, reducing congestion significantly.
